Who knew you needed a degree to shelve books?

This flow chart speaks to me. All my cats have been named after B-grade New Zealand celebs.
Jesse (Peach), Maebe (aka Alice from Galleria) and (David) Farrier.
My first ever paid job was shelving books at the Titirangi Library. I loved it, but then I broke up with the boyfriend who lived out there and no longer had anyone to drive me home to the city.
This weekend I realised I need a part time job so I can pay rent next month, and called the local library to see if they needed shelvers (seriously this is my only non digital / advertising work experience) and they told me I needed a degree to do that! And a library one not just a bachelor of communications! Damn. Maybe there is an art gallery library which doesn’t have such high standards? I bet the dewy system only goes up to 600 in an art gallery too.
