Hexidecime – find your favourite colours

If you look through my Tumblr feed (where I bookmark images I like) you’ll see a lot of beige, salmon, olive, turquoise, scarlet and mustard. If you asked my favourite colour on any given day I would probably answer one of those. Not very suprising that I like pictures in those colours, right?

However if I want to find out my friend (or client)’s favourite colours it takes a bit more effort. What I am planning to make is a website which can scan any Tumblr, Pintrest, weheartit or picture blog and work out what colours are most used.

It would give me a result that might look something like this:

What’s the point of it? Well maybe it’s just another frivolous (and pretty) website that tells you more about yourself than you needed to know. Or perhaps it could help you decide which Resene paint or American Apparel tshirt to get. Maybe it will help advertisers make banners that are aesthetically personalised to you. You’ll have to wait and see.
