"A great typographer and a terrible man." ~ I tend to agree with you though I don't know that we excuse his bestiality and incest by admiring his work. It may make me uneasy though especially as Gill Sans is probably my favourite font.

I wonder whether he would have been so 'great' if he hadn't done what he did ...
